Connecting Claude to your Amazon seller data takes about five clicks on claude.ai. You add Arbitrage Stalker as a custom connector, approve it on one page, and Claude can read your tracked storefronts, your saved leads, what your own Amazon account can sell and your real profit at your buy cost. No key to copy. The connection carries over to the Claude desktop and phone apps on its own.
I built Arbitrage Stalker, so I wrote this guide off the same steps on our setup page. If you want the bigger picture first, what the server does and who else makes one, read the Amazon seller MCP server overview. If MCP itself is new to you, start with what an MCP server is.
What you need before you start
Two things.
- A paid Arbitrage Stalker plan. Every paid plan includes AI connections. Sign up here if you do not have an account yet. Plans start at $29 a month on the pricing page.
- A Claude account that can add custom connectors. Anthropic decides which plans get connectors, so check their plan page if you do not see the option.
The server address you will paste is https://app.arbitragestalker.com/mcp. It also sits on the Arbitrage Stalker MCP server page if you lose it.
Connect Claude on the web
Open claude.ai in a browser. Do this part on a computer, since the Connectors screen is easiest there.
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Click Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it Arbitrage Stalker and paste
https://app.arbitragestalker.com/mcpas the MCP server URL. Click Continue. - Leave Sign in now and Register automatically selected. Claude detects both. Click Add.
- Click Connect. Arbitrage Stalker opens. Log in if you are not already, confirm it is you if it asks, then click Allow.
You land back in Claude with Arbitrage Stalker showing as connected.
The page you approve on
The Allow page names the app asking and lists what it can do: read your sellers, leads and product data, check what your Amazon account can sell, save products and manage monitors when you ask, and spend credits at app prices. It cannot touch your password, your billing or Seller Central. ChatGPT sends you to the same page if you connect it later.
Turn it on in a chat
In a new chat, open the tools menu and make sure Arbitrage Stalker is switched on. Then ask "how many sellers am I tracking?" If you get your real number back, you are live.
Claude desktop and phone apps
Nothing to do. Once the connector exists on your claude.ai account, it shows up in the Claude desktop app and the phone app with no extra setup. Same tools menu, same switch.
The phone version earns its keep in a store aisle. Scan a barcode with any app, paste the UPC into Claude and ask whether you can sell it and what it nets at the shelf price.
Claude Code and Cursor
Tools that run on your computer take a connection key instead of a sign-in.
- In Arbitrage Stalker, open AI Connection Keys from Settings, then Devices & keys.
- Name the key after where it will live, like "Claude Code on my laptop". When you revoke one later, the name tells you which is which.
- Click Create key and copy it right away. It starts with
as_mcp_, and the page only shows it once. Lose it and you revoke it and make another.
For Claude Code, run one command in your terminal with your key in place of the placeholder:
claude mcp add --transport http arbitrage-stalker https://app.arbitragestalker.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer as_mcp_YOUR_KEY_HERE"
Start Claude Code and type /mcp. You should see arbitrage-stalker listed as connected.
For Cursor, open Settings, then MCP, choose Add new MCP server, pick HTTP, enter the same URL and add a header called Authorization with the value Bearer as_mcp_YOUR_KEY_HERE. Save, and wait for the green dot.
Treat that key like a password. Anyone holding it can read your leads and spend your credits. Keep it out of shared docs, Slack channels and public repos.
The first 10 questions to ask
The server reads your account, so ask it the things you would ask a sourcing VA sitting at your dashboard. These ten cover most of what it does.
- "What should I buy today?" It pulls your newest leads, screens out the ones with Amazon on the listing or a rank that will not move, and gives you a shortlist with the reason each one survived.
- "Which of my tracked sellers is producing?" Your store roster with how many new products each one turned up in the last week and month. Use it to decide which store slots to swap.
- "What did my sellers add since yesterday?" Only the new products your tracked sellers listed, filtered by brand, category, price or rank if you want. Run it every morning.
- "Is B0XXXXXXXX worth buying at $12?" Profit and ROI with your saved prep and inbound costs, plus the velocity and competition read behind it.
- "Can I sell these?" Paste up to 100 ASINs and get BUY, APPLY with Amazon's approval link, SKIP, BAD_ASIN or PENDING for your own account.
- "Score this list." Paste fifty ASINs from a supplier sheet. The ones already scored come back free, and it quotes the cost of the rest before spending anything.
- "Where do I source this?" The retailers the platform has seen carrying that product or brand.
- "Match these UPCs." Barcodes in, ASINs out, with rank and Buy Box for each match.
- "Check every Carter's product and tell me which ones I can sell." It checks whether the brand sits behind one approval first. If it does, you get the link once instead of hundreds of locked rows.
- "Track this seller and put it on my Seasonal monitor." Paste a seller ID or a storefront link. It adds the store, files it under that monitor and tells you how many store slots you have left. This one writes to your account, so word it the way you mean it.
Questions 2 and 3 are the daily pair. If you only build one habit, make it those, then decide what to watch next with the storefront tracking playbook.
Troubleshooting
Most failures come down to an expired sign-in or the wrong key.
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| "Not found" or a 404 | Every paid plan includes AI connections. If you pay and still see this, contact support. |
| Claude says it could not connect | Click Connect again and finish the Arbitrage Stalker page in the window it opens. The request expires if you close the window or wait more than a few minutes. |
| "Too many connections" on the Allow page | Remove an old one under AI Connection Keys, then connect again. |
| "Unauthorized" or a 401 in Claude Code or Cursor | The key is wrong or expired, or the word Bearer is missing. The header value must read Bearer as_mcp_... with a single space. |
| "Not authorized for the MCP server" | You pasted a public API key. API keys start with as_live_, connection keys start with as_mcp_. They do not swap. |
| It says an ASIN is not in the cache | Ask it to import the product. That costs one credit, and it answers on the next try. |
| It refuses and mentions credits | You are out of Apex credits. Every free tool still works. Top up on the credits page. |
Disconnecting
Go to AI Connection Keys and click Revoke on the key or connected app. It stops working at once, and a connected app has to ask you to Allow it again before it gets back in. Revoking one leaves your other keys, your Chrome extension and the mobile app alone.
Profit math stays out of the model
One thing to know before you trust the numbers. Referral rates, FBA size tiers and closing fees are where an AI assistant guesses and misses by a few dollars, and on an arbitrage deal those few dollars are the margin. Every profit answer Claude gives you through this connector runs through the same calculator as your dashboard, your alerts and the Chrome extension. Claude explains the result. It does not compute it.
Ready to try it? The Arbitrage Stalker MCP page has the server address and every client's setup in one place. Connect it, ask question 3, and see what your sellers added overnight.
Let the deals come to you
